Let’s go back to the ’90s.
While the concept of cloud computing may have originated in the 1960s, it was not until the late 1990s that the Internet offered significant bandwidth and the idea of delivering enterprise applications over a website was pioneered.
Leveraging best practices and a team of experts, Telespace built the secure, high-quality cloud network that organizations were demanding for a seamless, integrated experience across voice, video and contact centers. With Cisco Powered Cloud Services as its core business, Telespace brought the entire Cisco cloud vision and strategy to life.
Telespace is cofounded by James Goodman and Philip Kiser to establish a dedicated Cisco Powered Cloud services organization to deliver Unified Communications, Contact Center, and Telepresence monthly subscriptions. Offices were established in Austin, Texas with twenty initial employees dedicated to building and servicing customers. Telespace first customer goes live in October 2011.
Telespace establishes a second Geo-Redundant Datacenter presence in Ashburn, VA to deliver Cisco-Powered Communications services to our customers. Telespace also establishes itself as a Master CMSP certified Cisco Partner with Cisco Powered designations in HCS, HCS-CC, and Telepresence. Telespace turns up Video Bridging services.
Telespace achieves industry compliance with our 3rd party auditing team 360Advanced for PCI, HIPAA, and SOC II TYPE II. Telespace gains security compliance through our partner Coalfire who performs external and internal penetration testing and vulnerability assessment and remediation services.
Telespace achieves Cisco Master Cloud Services Provider designation for a second time. Cisco VAR Partner channel program established with over 60 partners to white label Telespace services to customers. Telespace established a strategic partnership with ServiceNow for ticketing and ITIL service management.
Telespace activates Equinix Dallas as a point of presence and tertiary session border control presence for our customers. Additional resiliency is accomplished utilizing a private backbone ring for our customers along with access to the Equinix Cloud Exchange.
Telespace activates Equinix Toronto to deliver services within the Canadian marketplace for US-based customers with a Canadian presence. Additional carrier capabilities were added for international PSTN services.
Telespace transitions to Akkadian Labs for service orchestration and Customer portal services. ScienceLogic becomes the new monitoring and alerting partner of Telespace for customer management and MSP service delivery.
Telespace achieves Cisco Customer Journey/WebEx Contact Center accreditation to deliver pure cloud Contact Center solutions for our customers. Strategic alliances with Calabrio, Lumenvox, Novelvox, and WebText are formed to establish omnichannel best-of-breed solutions.
Telespace gains Microsoft Teams interoperability with Cisco Calling. Customers can maintain Cisco Calling services and integration to legacy phones, paging services, and E911 while allowing Microsoft Teams to be the softphone client of choice.
